CM Chandrababu, Minister Nara Lokesh to Launch Nine New IT Projects in Vizag Tomorrow
Visakhapatnam: Visakhapatnam's ambitions to become a global technology hub are receiving a significant boost, with groundbreaking ceremonies for nine new IT projects scheduled for Friday, December 12. Headlined by global tech giant Cognizant and leading real estate developer Sattva Group, the new ventures are expected to bring over ₹3,000 crore in investment and create more than 33,000 direct jobs, marking a major milestone for Andhra Pradesh's new coalition government.

Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu is set to lay the foundation stone for Cognizant's permanent campus at the Kapuluppada IT Hills. The company plans to invest ₹1,583 crore in the 21.31-acre facility, which will be developed in three phases and is projected to be fully operational by 2033. The campus will directly employ 8,000 professionals, with the first phase expected to be completed by 2029, creating 3,000 jobs.

In a parallel development, Minister for IT and Education Nara Lokesh will inaugurate Cognizant's interim office at the Mahathi Fin Tech building in Rushikonda. This 1,000-seater facility will serve as an immediate operational base, focusing on cutting-edge technologies like Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning.

Minister Lokesh will also officiate the foundation ceremony for the 'Sattva Vantage Vizag Campus' in Madhurawada's Hill-4. The Sattva Group is investing ₹1,500 crore to develop this 30-acre integrated project, which is anticipated to generate 25,000 direct and up to 50,000 indirect employment opportunities. The campus will feature not only IT office spaces but also international-standard residential, retail, and hospitality facilities. The group aims to develop 4 million square feet of IT office space in Visakhapatnam over the next five years.

Further cementing the city's growing stature, Minister Lokesh will also lay the foundation stones for seven other IT companies, collectively contributing hundreds of crores in investment and creating thousands of additional jobs. These firms include:

  • Tech Tammina:₹62 crore investment, 500 jobs
  • Nonrel Technologies: ₹50.60 crore investment, 567 jobs
  • ACN Infotech: ₹30 crore investment, 600 jobs
  • Imaginnovate Techsolutions: ₹140 crore investment, 2,600 jobs
  • Fluentgrid Limited: ₹150 crore investment, 2,000 jobs
  • Motherson Technology Services: ₹109.73 crore investment, 1,775 jobs
  • Quarks Technosoft: ₹115 crore investment, 2,000 jobs

The influx of these prominent national and international companies signals strong investor confidence in Visakhapatnam and is set to accelerate its transformation into a premier destination for technology and innovation.
