OU students shock TS Govt by staging flash protest demonstration in Secretarait

Hyderabad , May 18, 2015: In an unexpected headache for Telangana Government, some students of Osmania University on Monday went on a flash protest demonstration opposite C Block of Telangana secretariat opposing taking away of University lands by the Government. Raising slogans against Chief Minister KCR, the students alleged that Government has been taking over the lands of the University with ulterior motives. "The government says it is taking back the illegally occupied government lands. But it is not true. In the garb of taking away illegally occupied lands, it is aiming to do away with the very existence of the Osmania University over a period of time," the students alleged. The Government has been selling away the university lands to corporate companies and individuals, they said. Taken aback by the sudden protest demonstration, Police personnel swooped on them and dragged them away to prevent them from entering into the C Block where CM KCR's office is located.
