Is Jagan to gift Rajya Sabha seat to Sharmila?

Hyderabad, May 16: It is possible, say YSRCP insiders. There are strong indications that YSRCP president and leader of the opposition in the state legislative assembly YS Jaganmohan Reddy is likely to nominate his sister YS Sharmila to Rajya Sabha. Sources said, in order to avoid possible rebellion in the parliament, Jagan is mulling over the idea of sending Sharmila to the Rajya Sabha. It may be recalled that it was Sharmila who galvanised the YSRCP cadre after Jagan was jailed for several months before the 2014 elections. She had undertaken walkathons across the length and breath of the then undivided Andhra Pradesh.
