Seven Achievers Honoured at Inaugural Ramoji Excellence National Awards in Hyderabad
Hyderabad: Seven individuals were recognised for their outstanding contributions to society at the first Ramoji Excellence National Awards, held at a grand ceremony in Hyderabad on Sunday. The awards, instituted in memory of Ramoji Group founder Ramoji Rao, were presented by Vice President of India C.P. Radhakrishnan, who attended as the chief guest.
The event saw a convergence of prominent political and judicial figures, including Telangana Governor Jishnu Dev Varma, Chief Ministers Revanth Reddy of Telangana and N. Chandrababu Naidu of Andhra Pradesh, and Union Ministers G. Kishan Reddy and Ram Mohan Naidu. Former Vice President M. Venkaiah Naidu and former Chief Justice of India, Justice N.V. Ramana, were also present.
Each awardee received a cash prize of ₹5 lakh, a citation, and a memento. The winners included
- Amala Ruia for her contributions to rural development.
- Srikanth Bolla recognised as a Youth Icon.
- Madhavilatha for her achievements in science and technology.
- Aakash Tandon for his dedication to humanitarian services.
- Prasanna Sree for her creative work in arts and culture.
- Jaideep Hardikar for his impactful journalism.
- Pallavi Ghosh for her efforts in women's empowerment.
In his address, Vice President Radhakrishnan described Ramoji Rao as an inspiration who rose from a small village to achieve extraordinary success. "Ramoji Rao instilled team spirit in his staff and was an exceptional individual who turned his ideas into reality," he said, also recalling Ramoji Rao’s prompt humanitarian response during national disasters.
The Vice President noted that the awards ceremony, which coincided with Ramoji Rao's 89th birth anniversary, was a fitting tribute to his legacy.
