HC directs RTC unions to withdraw strike

Hyderabad, May 12: The High Court in Hyderabad today took a serious view of the RTC strike after the employees its earlier directions. The court further clarified that only after withdrawing their strike, the employee unions can take part in negotiations with the Cabinet sub-committees set up by both Telangana and Andhra Pradesh governments. The High Court wanted to know whether the RTC unions were willing to withdraw their protest today. If they fail to do so, then the HC said serious action will be initiated against them. The High Court, further, directed the governments of AP and Telangana to complete the process of bifurcation of RTC within the next two weeks.
