Adulterated animal feed kills 5 Goddess Durga temple cows

Vijayawada, April 29, 2015: 5 cows died and another 15 cows have taken seriously ill on Wednesday when the animals in the cow shed of Goddess Durga temple on Indrakeeladri in Vijayawada were fed with adulterated food. There were different versions over who donated the food that killed the cows. Ultimately Cow Protection Centre officials said the food that killed the cows has been donated by the local business house Bhavani Traders. The Cow Protection officials field a complaint with the one town police seeking arrest of those who donated the food materiel. Meanwhile, Visakha Sarada Peetam Seer Swami Swarupanandendra Swami has demanded thorough probe into the incident and arrest of those responsible for the killing of cows.
