YSRCP leader Prasada Reddy murdered in Ananta district, Raptadu tense

Anantapuram, April 29, 2015: In an outbreak of faction rivalry, YSRCP leader Bhumireddy Prasada Reddy ,50, was hacked to death with axes and sickles by rivals in the premises of Tahasildar office at Raptadu in Anantapuram district this morning. Following the murder, the killed leader's followers attacked the Tahasildar office and set it on fire leading to tension at Raptadu. Prasad Reddy's relatives alleged that TDP men attacked and killed him when he went to MRO office for some work. "It was a pre planned murder by TDP men," said relatives. Senior police and revenue officials have reached the town and are supervising the law and order situation. There was a heavy police presence in the town after the incidents. The slain leader's supporters also hurled stones on police personnel.
