Chiranjeevi Responds to the Death of Ravi Teja’s Father
Tollywood continues to be struck by a series of tragedies. Following the recent deaths of Kota Srinivasa Rao and B. Saroja Devi, grief has now enveloped the home of star actor Ravi Teja. His father, Rajagopal Raju, passed away on the night of July 15 at the age of 90. He died at Ravi Teja's residence in Hyderabad.
Actor Chiranjeevi has responded to the news of Rajagopal Raju’s death. Chiranjeevi stated that he was deeply saddened by the passing of his "brother" Ravi Teja’s father. He recalled that the last time he met Rajagopal Raju was on the set of the film Waltair Veerayya. Expressing his condolences, Chiranjeevi said he extends heartfelt sympathies to the family during this difficult time. “I pray to God for his soul to rest in peace,” Chiranjeevi tweeted.
The mortal remains of Rajagopal Raju have been kept at Ravi Teja’s residence for public homage. The funeral is scheduled to take place this afternoon at the Rayadurgam crematorium.
Rajagopal Raju is survived by three sons. His eldest son is actor Ravi Teja. The other two sons, Raghu and Bharath, were also actors. Bharath died in a road accident in 2017.
