Actor Sivaji stages water protest, warns of fast unto death on special status

Stages protest demo in Krishna waters at Bejawada along with supporters
Vijayawada, April 13, 2015: Asking the Centre and BJP leadership not to go back on its promise of granting special status to AP, actor Sivaji today announced he is ready to sacrifice even his life in the process of getting special status to the state. Staging a protest demonstration along with his supporters in the Krishna waters at Vijayawada demanding the Centre to implement its promise on special status, Sivaji asserted that he is very much in the BJP. "Who is Somu Veerraju to say that I am not in the BJP? If I am not in the BJP, Kamineni is also not in the BJP. Me and Kamineni Srinivas joined BJP on the same day," he said , discounting the statement of Somu Veerraju. Sivaji asked Union Minister Venkaiah Naidu and Jana Sena leader and actor Pawan Kalyan to bring pressure on the Centre to announce special status to AP. "Both Venkaiah Naidu and Pawan Kalyan should strive to ensure special status to AP. They must bring pressure on the Centre in this regard," he suggested. Asking the Centre to implement its promise on special status to AP before the end of the present parliament session, he said he is ready to undertake a fast unto death thereafter for the sake of the state getting special status. "I am ready to sacrifice my life for this cause," he told reporters during his demonstration in the water.
