Nara Lokesh honours Agniveer Muralinaik with state support package

Nara Lokesh, Minister in the Andhra Pradesh government, paid tribute to Veer Jawan Muralinaik from Kallithanda village of Gorantla mandal in Sri Sathya Sai district, who laid down his life for the country. Lokesh paid his respects to the mortal remains of Muralinaik and offered condolences to his parents. He consoled the grieving family and assured them that the government stands firmly by their side.

Accompanying Nara Lokesh were ministers Anagani Satya Prasad, Vangalapudi Anitha, and Savitha, Member of Parliament B.K. Parthasarathi, former ministers Palle Raghunatha Reddy and Kalava Srinivasulu, MLAs Palle Sindhura Reddy and M.S. Raju, as well as senior Telugu Desam Party leader J.C. Prabhakar Reddy. All of them paid floral tributes to the fallen soldier Muralinaik. The government is expected to perform Muralinaik’s last rites with official honours shortly.

Speaking on the occasion, Nara Lokesh expressed confidence that both the central and state governments would stand by the family of Veer Jawan Muralinaik, who sacrificed his life fighting against Pakistan at the nation’s border. Lokesh stated that Muralinaik had dreamed of becoming a soldier since childhood and had once said that if he were to die, it would be with the national flag draped over him. Lokesh emphasized that the sacrifices made by soldiers at the borders ensure the safety and security of the nation. He added that it was deeply painful that Agniveer Muralinaik passed away at such a young age.

Nara Lokesh announced that the Andhra Pradesh state government would provide a compensation of ₹50 lakh to the family of Muralinaik. Additionally, he declared that the family would be allocated five acres of agricultural land and a 300-square-yard plot for the construction of a house. He also stated that the government would offer a job to Muralinaik’s father.
