Centre confirms killed gangsters were SIMI terrorists

Hyderabad, April 5, 2015: The two gangsters who killed cops at Suryapet in Nalgonda district and were later killed in a fierce encounter at Janakipuram Saturday morning were SIMI (Students Islamic Movement of India) activists. This was revealed by Union Home Secretary to Urban Development Minister M.Venkaiah Naidu when the latter telephoned him to know about their identity. The Union Home Secretary told the Minister that the two terrorists, Aslam Ayub and Jakir, had escaped from Khandwa jail in Madhya Pradesh and have been on the run ever since their escape.
