MS Dhoni Stands Alone in IPL History with 100 Not-Outs

On Wednesday, Chennai Super Kings (CSK) secured a narrow 2-wicket victory against Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) in an Indian Premier League (IPL) match. During this game, CSK captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni achieved a rare milestone. Dhoni remained unbeaten with a score of 18 runs in the match, thereby registering a unique record that no other player in IPL history has accomplished.

MS Dhoni has now become the only player in the history of the IPL to remain not out in 100 matches. Already holding the top position among players with the most not-out finishes, Dhoni has now reached the exceptional milestone of being unbeaten in 100 innings out of a total of 241 he has played in the league.

Following Dhoni in this list is fellow CSK all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja, who has remained not out 80 times.

Meanwhile, it is already known that Chennai Super Kings have had a dismal season and are out of the race for the playoffs. CSK has managed to win only 3 out of the 12 matches played so far and is currently positioned at the bottom of the points table.

On the other hand, the defeat in Wednesday's match has further complicated the playoff chances for Kolkata Knight Riders. KKR has played 12 matches and secured 5 wins, placing them sixth on the points table with 11 points. Even if they win their remaining two matches and reach 15 points, it may not be sufficient for a playoff berth and will depend on the outcomes of other teams’ matches.
