Royal Enfield had been the most popular bike since ages. But now, premium bikes of renowned automobile companies in the world, have become a sensation in Indian markets. They are attracting customers and selling quiet a number of bikes. Mentioned here are a few of the bikes that are selling well...

Last year, that is from April 2016 to March 2017, at least 8,696 super bikes were sold. Bikes with an engine capacity of 500 cc or more, are called super bikes. The bike that sold the most was Harley Davidson Street 750. At least 2,113 units of this bike were sold last year. Later, DSK Benelly TMT 600I sold 640 units. Harley Davidson Iron 883 sold 474 units. This was succeeded by Kawasaki Ninja 650, which sold 458 units. Triumph Street Twin is in the 5th position after selling 237 units.

Interestingly, there is a sharp rise in sale of bikes within 1,000 cc and 1,600 cc capacity. At the same time, the sale of 800 cc to 1,000 cc bikes declined, when compared to the previous year. Triumph bikes sales increased. Triumph Street Twin ranked fifth in sales. Last year, Tiger 800 model 216 bikes of this company ranked sixth in highest sales. Suzuki Hayabusa sold 209 units and ranked seventh.

Harley Davidson Street 750

Maximum speed is 200 km per hour. This bike which runs on petrol, gives 17 km for one litre mileage. It has six gears, disc brakes, telescopic forks, gas charge shock absorbers and weights 223 kg.

DSK Benelly TMT 600I
Delhi Ex showroom price is Rs. 5.82 lakh. It gives a good experience to those riding a bike for the first time. With Inline four, liquid cooled 600 cc engine, 11,500 RCM with 85 bhp, the bike's maximum speed is 230 km per hour. It gives 18 km per litre petrol, mileage. It has six gears, disc brakes, hydraulic mono-shock absorbers and weighs 231 kg.

Harley Davidson Iron 883

Kawasaki Ninja 650

Disc brakes, Alloy wheels, six gears, single offset lay down shock absorbers, anti-lock braking system, electric start, etc. features are available. Maximum speed is 212 kmph. Mileage is 21 km for one litre of petrol.

Triumph Street Twin
