New Delhi: The Supreme Court heard BRS leader K Kavitha's appeal against the Enforcement Directorate's summons in the Delhi excise policy case today. However, the court adjourned the hearing for three weeks. Kavitha, who is also the daughter of Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao, has already appeared before the federal probe agency three times in connection with the money laundering case related to the Delhi excise policy scam. She spent approximately 18-19 hours at the ED headquarters in central Delhi during her two appearances on March 11 and March 20. On March 21, Kavitha left the agency office at around 9:15 pm after being interrogated and having her statement recorded by investigators. The ED alleges that the Delhi government's excise policy for 2021-22 favoured liquor traders who had bribed government officials, a charge strongly refuted by the AAP.
