He openly condemned the disqualification of Congress leader Rahul Gandhi from Parliament, calling it the height of Prime Minister Narendra Modi's "arrogance and dictatorship". His sentiments were echoed by BRS Working President and state minister K.T. Rama Rao, who said that the disqualification of Rahul Gandhi was a blatant misinterpretation of the Constitution.
