The Enforcement Directorate questioned BRS leader K Kavitha for about 10 hours on Monday after she appeared before the agency for a second round of interrogation in a Delhi excise policy-related money laundering case, officials said. Apart from those of a few others involved in the case, Kavitha is said to have been confronted with statements made by Hyderabad-based businessman Arun Ramchandran Pillai, an arrested accused in the case who allegedly has close links with her, on March 11. The statement of the BRS leader was documented under the Prevention of Money Laundering Act. (PMLA). During Monday's session, Kavitha is anticipated to have been physically confronted with Pillai and the statements of her former auditor Butchibabu Gorantla. The 44-year-old MLC daughter of Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao was questioned in the matter for the first time on March 11 for approximately nine hours before being summoned again on March 16.
