An earthquake with a magnitude of 5.6 struck eastern Turkey, resulting in the death of one person and injuring 69 others, according to the country's disaster agency. The earthquake hit three weeks after the region was hit by massive quakes, which claimed the lives of over 44,000 people. The epicenter of Monday's earthquake was in the Yesilyurt district of Malatya province, which had already been hit by powerful tremors on February 6, causing damage to 25 buildings that collapsed on Monday. On February 6, Turkey was hit by a magnitude 7.7 earthquake in Kahramanmaras province, followed by a magnitude 6.4 quake in Gaziantep province and a magnitude 7.6 earthquake in Kahramanmaras province later in the day. In addition, two earthquakes struck Hatay province on February 20, resulting in six fatalities.
