Tourism Minister RK Roja has responded strongly to Nara Lokesh's statement, in which he called for YSRCP leaders to be "thrashed with broom sticks". Speaking at an event, Roja questioned the appropriateness of such a statement and asked who deserves to be treated in such a manner. She defended her statement by alleging that the TDP's past governance is what caused the state to incur debt. Roja also challenged Lokesh, asking about the TDP's actions on the issue of waiving loans for DWACRA women and farmers. She stated that it is Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy who is working to address these issues and bring justice to these groups.
