Hyderabad: Telangana Governor Tamilisai Soundararajan began her speech with a quote from the renowned poet Kaloji Narayana Rao's poem "Puttuka Needi.. Chavu Needi, Brathukantha Deshanidi". She stated that Telangana is at the forefront of welfare development in the country and has made significant improvements in the standard of living in rural areas. She highlighted the successful completion of the Kaleshwaram project within three and a half years and the world-renowned Rythu Bandhu scheme, which has provided Rs. 65 thousand crores to farmers. The governor emphasized the government's continuous efforts for the development of Telangana, including the provision of 24-hour electricity and water supply. She noted that earlier there were disputes over water, but now the government has made it possible to provide safe drinking water around the clock. Governor Tamilisai said that Telangana become the granary of the nation and added that Telangana is investor friendly and attracts investors of MNCs in IT and other sectors.
