He stated that the Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) conducts transparent selection processes for IAS candidates, but expressed concern that many of the selected officials are not making a significant impact on society. Jaya Prakash Narayana emphasized that high ranks in the IAS are not enough, it is important to serve society and bring about change. In response to Jeff Bezos' recent comments about reducing spending due to inflation and recession, Jaya Prakash Narayana said that these may not be applicable to India. He also advised caution in the face of the Covid-19 pandemic and urged people to get booster shots. Jaya Prakash Narayana disregarded negative remarks regarding Covid vaccines. He credited himself with the establishment of the National Health Commission and stated that he is striving to reform the healthcare system in the country.
