Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma has announced that Bollywood actor Shah Rukh Khan called him late night to express concern over reports of protests by a rightwing group against the release of his upcoming movie 'Pathaan'. The Chief Minister reassured the actor that the state government will take measures to maintain law and order and prevent any untoward incidents during the release of the film. The statement comes a day after Sarma had responded curtly to reporters asking about the violent protests, saying "Who is Shah Rukh Khan? I don't know anything about him or the film 'Pathaan'." The Chief Minister's statement and the assurance to SRK will give a sense of security to the film industry and the public who are eagerly waiting for the release of the film 'Pathaan'.
