Ganta Srinivasa Rao, a former minister, has recently been engaged in discussions with leaders of the Kapu. For a very long period, Ganta's movements have raised suspicions because he is thought to be switching parties. He had meetings with BJP leader Kanna Lakshminarayana and TDP leader Bonda Uma last night in Vijayawada. After the three leaders' meeting, there were rumours that they might all be joining the same party. In a statement to the media, Bonda Uma said that they have known each other and their families for a very long time. "The reported reports released by some media news channels are untrue. Nothing political is being said; this is just a friendly get-together outside of a wedding, Bonda Uma reaffirmed.
