The party followers and family members became agitated following the arrest of YSRTP President YS Sharmila on Tuesday and not releasing her from SR Nagar Police Station. Anil Kumar, YS Sharmila's husband, has criticised the arrest after her mother-in-law YS Vijayamma criticised the manner of the arrest. When asked if YS Jagan would visit his sister at this time, Brother Anil Kumar responded that he works for the government and indicated that since he is her brother, he might come. In response to a claim that YS Sharmila had attacked the Telangana government, brother Anil Kumar defended his wife by arguing that she had exposed the shortcomings of the administration.
