The dates of the Dasara break for schools remain unchanged, running from September 26 to October 9. According to the academic calendar for the academic year 2022–23, the Dasara holidays have already been announced to all primary, upper primary and high schools under all managements from September 26 to October 9 (including September 25 Sunday). This was made clear by the Director of School Education in a press release. In the past, the state government issued vacation orders on the days of September 17 for National Integration Day and the weeks of July 11–16 owing to severe rain. Instead of the 14-day break from September 26 to October 9, the State Council of Educational Research and Training (SCERT) has suggested a nine-day Dasara holiday from October 1 to 9 to make up for the lost teaching days. The Director of School Education has, however, made it clear in a press release that the holidays would remain as they were.
