Shinzo Abe, the former prime minister of Japan, was shot while, making an election campaign address in the city of Nara, and is currently in critical condition. The former Japanese prime minister was allegedly shot from behind while he was delivering campaigning speech in Nara. Abe was taken emergency care and admitted to the hospital. He was apparently fighting for his life as he was flown to a hospital. A 40-year-old guy has been taken into custody on suspicion of trying to kill him, and police have found what appears to be a handmade gun. The longest-serving prime minister of Japan in history is Abe. In 2020, he announced his resignation as leader, citing health issues.
