IT Raids at Sharmila's daughter-in-law's restaurant 'Chutneys' in Hyderabad

Hyderabad: On Tuesday, Income Tax officials conducted raids at the famous 'Chutneys' restaurant in Hyderabad. The officials have been inspecting the restaurant since the morning. Similarly, searches are also being carried out at the residence of the restaurant owner, Atluri Padma. It is noteworthy that Atluri Padma, the owner of 'Chutneys', is the daughter-in-law of AP PCC Chief YS Sharmila. Recently, Padma's daughter was married to Sharmila's son, Raja Reddy, in a grand ceremony.

'Chutneys' restaurants have become well-known in the twin cities. Atluri Padma started this restaurant chain a decade ago and has successfully established several branches in the city. The news of the ongoing IT raids has created a sensation in business circles. So far, neither the management of 'Chutneys' nor the IT officials have released any statement regarding the raids.

On the other hand, IT officials are also conducting inspections at Meghana Foods & Eateries in the city. Meghana Foods has franchises in both Hyderabad and Bangalore. Details regarding the inspections at 'Chutneys' and Meghana Foods are yet to be disclosed. There is a possibility that the IT officials might hold a press meet in the evening to reveal the details.
