Nayanathara-Vignesh: Panel to probe whether couple violated surrogacy norms

Chennai: Nayanthara and Vignesh Shivan, who announced the births of twin boys, recently landed in trouble. It was alleged that the couple violated the surrogacy rules and gave birth to twins. Tamil Nadu Health Minister M Subramanian also responded to this controversy. He said that a thorough investigation will be conducted and action will be taken against Nayanthara. It seems that the government is taking steps in that direction.

The Tamil Nadu Health Department has constituted a three-member committee on the issue of surrogacy. It seems that the probe will be started from the hospital where Nayan's children were born. It is informed that there is a possibility of seeking an explanation from Nayan and Vignesh if necessary.

It may be recalled that Nayantara and Vignesh Shivan dated for almost six years. Later, they got married on June 9. Their wedding was solemnised at a resort in Mahabalipuram. Meanwhile, on October 9, Vignesh Shivan shared a post on Twitter that they are blessed with twins four months after their marriage. The news that the couple gave birth to kids through surrogacy became controversial.

In this context, Vignesh Shivan indirectly responded to the controversy on social media. "Always respect the opinions of those who care for us. They think about us because they are your people. This has always been the reality," said Vignesh Sivan. "When the time is right, you will surely get everything. Be patient till then. Enjoy every moment. If you want to change the world, go home and learn to love your family," Vignesh stated.
