US aquaculture firm Fishin to invest Rs1,000 crore in Telangana

Hyderabad: The Minister for IT and Municipal Administration KT Rama Rao (KTR), who is touring the US with the aim of attracting more investments to Telangana, held a series of meetings with companies and persuaded the owners to set up their units in Telangana. 

As part of that, KTR secured another key investment on Thursday for Telangana. The US aquaculture firm Fishin has agreed to invest Rs 1,000 crore in Telangana. In addition, an agreement was reached with the Telangana government in the presence of KTR.

The Fishin Company is known as the largest exporter of fish in the world. The company specialises in exporting tilapia fish. The company will develop an integrated freshwater fish culture system in Telangana. The company will spend a combined Rs 1,000 crore for this. The company's plant is expected to provide employment to 5,000 people.
