Rajini orders 'Linga' producer to return Rs. 10 Cr to distributors

Chennai, March 22, 2015: Super star Rajinikanth helped the Tamil Nadu film distributors and theater owners recover a substantial portion of their 'Linga' losses from producer Rockline Venkatesh. Venkatesh came forward to repay 10 per cent of their Rs.33 Cr losses suffered by them but the distributors and theater owners have been demanding total recovery of their losses. They have also threatened to take out a begging rally from the residence of Rajinikanth to embarrass him over the issue. Taking the initiative, Rajinkath held a meeting with the Tamil Nadu film producers council chairman Thanu and South Indian Artistes' Association chiarman Sarat Kumar and resolved the issue by asking the producer Rockline Venkatesh to compensate an amount of RS. 10 Cr as a via media to the loss suffering distributors and theater owners. Both Rockline Venkatesh and the loss-suffering producers have agreed for this ending the controversy.
