TRS to join Union Cabinet ?

Hyderabad, Feb 17, 2015: Speculation is rife in the national as well as local media that TRS is likely to become part of the NDA and will get two berths in the Union Cabinet. Two BJP top leaders of the state are likely to join the KCR cabinet in reciprocation. While TRS Rajya Sabha member K.Keshava Rao and Nizamabad MP Kavita are likely to be taken into the Union Cabinet, state BJP leaders Kishan Reddy and Lakshman are tipped to join the KCR cabinet. Before KCR inducts the two BJP leaders into his Cabinet, he is likely to drop two ministers from his Council of Ministers. The two are from Hyderabad city, according to reports. KCR may ask the two leaders to work for the party. Though taking new allies into its fold is not a necessity for BJP now at the Centre, BJP seems to have realised the fact it has to strengthen itself in Telangana for building up its future base and get ready itself for the 2019 elections. On the other hand, TRS too has realised that it can't initiate steps for the development of the state without the full cooperation of BJP Government at the Centre. Keeping this in mind, TRS president and Chief Minister KCR has ventured on to placate BJP leadership of late. KCR, who has not taken the PM Narendra Modi's Swachh Bharat programme very seriously initially, changed his mindset all of a sudden after meeting Modi a few days back in Delhi and held a meeting with all Mayors, Municipal Chairmen and other civic administration officials. He ordered them to work vigorously to implement the Swachh Bharat programme across Telangana. KCR has been trying to become closer to BJP leadership for the last three months. The Telangana Government has felicitated Maharashtra Governor Vidyasagara Rao and Union Minister Bandaru Dattatreya. The speculation has further strengthened after KCR had a detailed meeting with PM Modi on Monday in Delhi.
