Sagar row: Governor takes DGPs of AP, TS to task
Hyderabad, Feb 14: Governor of the two Telugu states ESL Narasimhan on Saturday is believed to have taken the DGPs of Andhra Pradesh and Telangana to task over the clash of policemen of the two states at the Nagarjunsagar reservoir site, according to reports. Moments before a meeting between Chief Ministers N Chandrababu Naidu and K Chandrsekhar Rao with him, Narasimhan rapped the DGPs for not handling the situation properly. "This happened only because of the indifference and negligence of the top officials who failed to grasp the gravity of the situation," he is believed to have told them. "More than the water row, the police clash had become more predominant in public domain," he is believed to have said. Soon after the Governor's rap, the DGPs are believed to have banned the presence of non-officials and non-police at the reservoir site.
