During an evening public meeting in Markapuram, Prakasam district, TDP Chief Chandrababu Naidu addressed the attendees. In his speech, he promised that upon returning to power, TDP would announce a new district with Markapuram as its center. He highlighted the development works initiated by the TDP government in Prakasam district during their tenure, including obtaining all necessary permissions for the Ramayapatnam port.

Naidu accused the YCP government of halting the progress on the Ramayapatnam port project after coming into power. He claimed that the Asian Pulp Industry, which was brought to the district considering its substantial subabul cultivation, has vanished under the current administration. He criticized the government for deceiving people with false promises, questioning the chief minister's credibility and accusing him of reneging on pre-election promises, including the special status for Andhra Pradesh.

He lambasted the YCP government for increasing the state's debt by ₹25,000 crores under the guise of alcohol prohibition and questioned the fulfillment of promises such as the abolition of the Contributory Pension Scheme (CPS) and the release of job calendars. Naidu made a commitment that his first signature after coming to power would be for a 'Mega DSC' (Teacher Eligibility and Selection Test).

Chandrababu Naidu also criticized the chief minister for his handling of the murder case of his own uncle, implying negligence and injustice. He questioned the voters if they wanted leaders who perform such acts, indirectly accusing the current administration of corruption and failure in public service.

Naidu concluded by reflecting on the sacrifices and struggles faced by TDP members in fighting against the government's actions, hinting at the unwavering legal challenges and jail terms imposed on many. He expressed concern over the unchanged attitude of certain officials despite the adversities faced.
