Kiran Bedi joins BJP
New Delhi, Jan 15: Former IPS officer Kiran Bedi joined the BJP Thursday, ahead of Delhi assembly election scheduled Feb 7. Flanked by Bharatiya Janata Party president Amit Shah and Finance Minister Arun Jaitley, Bedi, who was earlier attached with India Against Corruption led by Anna Hazare, became a member of the party by dialling the toll-free number started for the BJP's mass membership drive. Earlier, Bedi had neither confirmed nor denied that she will ever take a plunge into politics. However, this morning she tweeted, "Delhi and Delhites do not deserve this kind of prolonged negativity. The Capital needs integrity wisdom, experience, vision and implementation."
