First Hyd metro train to roll out on Ugadi day

Hyderabad, Jan 10: The countdown has begun for the Hyderabad Metro Rail. The first Metro train is to roll out on Ugadi day, which is just about 70 days from now. On March 21 this year, the first Metro train is expected to ply between Nagole and Mettuguda, according to sources. Sources said in all nine trains are scheduled to transport commuters between the two station. With the deadline fast approaching to launch the Metro rail services in Hyderabad, Telangana Chief Secretary Rajeev Sharma is believed to have directed Greater Hyderabad Muncipal Corporation (GHMC) to complete the process of acquiring the land needed for the Metro in the next 45 days.
