TTD requests devotees not to believe rumours on ‘caution deposit’

Tirumala, August 30: The TTD has requested people not to believe rumours on ‘caution deposit’. The TTD officials clarified that some people wantonly spreading false information that the State government is using the caution deposit amount, hence there is delay in depositing this amount in devotees’ accounts.
 
The TTD officials complained about MLC B.Tech Ravi, who spread false news in this regard, to Tirumala Two Town police on Monday. 
 
Devotees will book rooms through current and online booking in Tirumala. The caution deposit paid by the devotees will be credited in Federal Bank of HDFC bank before 3 pm on the next day after the room is vacated. These banks officials will transfer the amount before 12 am on the same day to the merchant services concerned, who will deposit the amount in the customer bank account on the next day. This customer bank staff will credit the amount in the devotees’ accounts and will send a message also.
 
The TTD officials have noticed the delay in the payment by the customer bank to the devotees. They suggested the pilgrims to inform if they have any issues to them through call centre, Email. As per the rules of Reserve Bank of India, caution deposit amount should be refunded within seven working days.
