Telangana cabinet approves 10 lakh new pensions
Hyderabad, August 12: The Telangana State cabinet gave green signal for sanctioning 10 lakh new Aasara pensions from August 15 and for filling up 5,111 anganwadi and aya posts. Also, it cancelled special meetings of Assembly and local bodies scheduled on August 21.
The cabinet decided to organize mass recital of national anthem on August 16 across the State. Marking the occasion, 75 reformed prisoners from various prisons across the State will be released and 10 specialist doctor posts were sanctioned to Koti and ENT hospitals.
The other decisions taken by the Cabinet includes, proposals to be prepared for constructing latest technology towers in ENT and Sarojini Devi Eye hospitals; committee was formed to clear the problems of house construction; and one acre was allotted for constructing Auto Nagar in Vikarabad and 30 acres in Yalala for Tandur Market Committee.
Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao directed Chief Secretary to speed up distribution of land pattas to the poor as per GO 58 and 59.
With the cabinet decision to issue pension to more, the total number of pensioners rose to 46 lakhs.
Meanwhile, the special meetings were cancelled keeping in view the requests of people’s representatives considering number of weddings and other functions on August 21, which is the last auspicious day.
