Parents find missing daughter after eight years
Hyderabad, June 28: A TV programme helped a missing girl to reunite with her family after eight years in Hyderabad.
According to information, Pinnamoni Krishna and Anuradha, residents of Kamala Nagar, ECIL, Hyderabad, had four daughters, including twins - Indu and Sindhu. Three and half year old Indu went missing when they went to see Ganesh festival celebrations in 2014. CCTV footage showed that she was taken by a woman.
The parents searched all areas but of no use. Recently the parents saw a girl in a TV programme and suspected that the girl is their daughter due to striking resemblance. They enquired about the whereabouts of the people, who participated in that TV programme. With the help of Ranga Reddy district child welfare committee officials, the parents went to Cheris orphanage in Kismitpur.
There the parents identified their daughter. State child rights protection committee chairman Srinivas Rangareddy and other officials checked the details provided by the parents and the girl’s details. They confirmed that the girl, who gone missing eight years ago and the girl in the orphanage are one and same. They handed over the girl to their parents on Monday.
