Saudi Arabia bans international flights to 16 countries, including India

Riyad, May 23: Saudi Arabia has imposed travel ban against 16 countries including India. Condemning the rumours that the ban was because of spread of monkeypox, the Health Ministry said that the decision was taken in the wake of increasing Covid cases. There was no clarity about how long this ban will continue.
 
Travelers from India, Lebanon, Syria, Turkey, Iran, Afghanistan, Yemen, Somalia, Ehtiopia, Demorcratic Republic of Congo, Libya, Indonesia, Vietnam, Armenia, Belarus and Venezuela and other counries were restricted to enter the country.
 
The Health Ministry informed that as many as 414 new corona cases were reported in the country. which is five times more than the cases reported in March and April months. In the wake of 81 corona deaths, the travel ban was imposed, sources said.
 
The government clarified that there will be no ban on the countries, that were not mentioned in the list. If Saudi Arabia citizens have to go out of the country compulsorily, then they have to take three doses of corona vaccine. Two doses of vaccine is enough for children aged between 12 to 16 years.
