Simha Vahanam implies Lord is omnipresent

Tirumala, Oct.5: On the third day on Wednesday, Lord Sri Malayappa Swamy as Yoga Murthy took a pride ride on the ferocious Simha Vahanam and blessed the devotees in Tirumala as a part of the ongoing annual Srivari brahmotsavams. According to the theology of Vaishnavism, Narasi?havataram, the ferocious half lion and half man incarnation of Lord Maha Vishnu indicates the omnipresence of God. This incarnation depicts that the God’s willingness and ability to come to the aid of His devotees, no matter how difficult or impossible the circumstances may appear to be, if the devotees sincerely pray Him. Bhakta Prahlada’s devotion indicates that pure devotion is not one of birth rights but of character. Prahlada, although born an asura-demon, demonstrated the greatest bhakti to God, and endured much, without losing faith. There are several forms of Narasi?ha, but nine forms are most important, and they are collectively known as Nava-Narasi?ha, which includes Ugra Narasi?ha, Krodha Narasi?ha, Veera Narasi?ha, Vilamba Narasi?ha, Kopa Narasi?ha, Yoga Narasi?ha, Aghora Narasi?ha, Sudar?ana Narasi?ha and Lak?mi Narasi?ha On third day morning, the Lord in sitting posture indicates as “Yoga Narasimhamurthy” the icon of Gnana and Bhakti tatvas. TTD Chairman Dr. Ch Krishnamurthy, TTD EO Dr. D Sambasiva Rao, JEO KS Sreenivasa Raju, TTD Trust Board Members AV Ramana, DP Anantha, Sandra Venkata Veeraiah, G Bhanuprakash Reddy, Temple DyEO Rama Rao, Peishkar R Selvam, TTD Officials and devotees took part.
