TDP fares well in Andaman polls
Port Blair (Andaman) Sep 22: The Telugu Desam Party has fared well in Andaman & Nicobar civic polls. The counting of votes was held today and TDP bagged 2 of the 24 wards in Port Blair municipal corporation. TDP stood second in 16 wards. While BJP bagged 10 wards, Congress, AIADMK and DMK 1 each and independents won in four wards. It may be noted that TDP has decided to expand the party in other states. Deputy Chief Minister and Home Minister N Chinarajappa has expressed happiness over the performance of the party in Andaman civic polls. Chinarajappa said that TDP would emerge as a power to reckon with.
