Hyderabad: The BRS government recently made an important announcement stating that the Telangana State Road Transport Corporation (TSRTC) will be merged with the government. This decision was taken during a cabinet meeting presided over by Chief Minister KCR. In accordance with this plan, the state government has drafted the RTC bill, intending to present it in the ongoing assembly sessions for approval. Given that the bill falls under the category of a financial bill, it has been sent to Governor Tamilisai for her approval. However, as of now, there has been no response from her for the past two days. This has raised concerns among BRS sources since the current assembly session is the final one for the Telangana Second Assembly. The assembly will only be in session on Friday and Saturday, leaving a tight timeline for the bill's approval. The RTC workers are anxiously awaiting clarity on the bill's passage, given the urgency of the situation.
