Former minister Avanti Srinivasa Rao faced strong condemnation from women while participating in the government's Gadapa Gadapaku program. The incident took place during his visit to Chippada in Bhimunipatnam mandal, Visakhapatnam district. Local residents expressed their anger and disappointment towards Avanti Srinivasa Rao, voicing their grievances about the lack of basic amenities such as drinking water, canals, roads, and street lights in the area. The women also held protests in SC Colony, making their dissatisfaction evident. As tensions escalated, Avanti's security personnel reportedly seized the cell phone of a young man who was recording the incident. In response, the locals resisted and prevented the MLA's vehicle from moving any further. The situation was eventually brought under control with the intervention of the police, allowing Avanti Srinivasa Rao to leave the area.
