New Delhi: Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi embarked on his journey to France on Thursday, responding to an invitation from French President Emmanuel Macron. The two-day visit spans July 13 and 14. On July 14, Friday, PM Modi will grace the annual Bastille Day Parade as the esteemed guest of honour. A contingent comprising 269 Indian tri-service members will participate in the event. Additionally, three Indian Air Force (IAF) Rafale fighter jets will be part of a flypast alongside French jets, commemorating the occasion. PM Modi is set to engage in strategic discussions with President Macron, aiming to enhance collaboration in crucial sectors such as defence, space, trade, and investment.
