The platform at Ongole Railway Station was bustling with incoming trains and passengers when a dramatic incident unfolded that could have resulted in a fatal accident. A passenger trying to board the moving Krishna Express train, en route from Tirupati to Adilabad, slipped and fell into the gap between the platform and the train. The man was holding onto the train's door, being dragged along the platform as the train gained speed, much to the shock of onlooking passengers. In the midst of the chaos, with bystanders screaming in fear but no one stepping forward to help, Railway Protection Force (RPF) Assistant Sub-Inspector (ASI) Srinivasa Rao spotted the terrifying scenario. ASI Rao, who was on the platform at the time, acted quickly and courageously. With complete disregard for his own safety, Rao dashed towards the moving train, grasping the endangered passenger and hauling him back onto the platform.
