Vijayawada: A major disaster was averted when a TSRTC bus carrying 30 passengers from Hyderabad to Guntur caught fire in Pedda Amberpet on Thursday night. The driver's vigilance and the prompt response of the passengers played a crucial role in ensuring everyone's safety. According to sources, the bus driver noticed flames through his rear-view mirror and immediately took action. He promptly brought the bus to a halt and quickly alerted all the passengers about the developing fire. Their collective efforts enabled all 30 passengers to safely exit the bus before the situation worsened. The fire engulfed the bus completely, resulting in its total destruction. However, thanks to the proactive measures taken by the driver and the passengers, no injuries or casualties were reported in the incident. Authorities have launched an investigation to determine the cause of the fire.
