The Andhra Pradesh Cabinet, led by Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy, convened to make several crucial decisions during its latest meeting. Minister Chelluboina Venugopala Krishna held a press meet at Amaravati, where he announced the key outcomes of the state government's discussions. One significant decision made by the cabinet was the approval of an ex-gratia amount of Rs 10 lakhs for the State victims of the Odisha train accident. The cabinet also sanctioned the creation of 6,840 new job positions in the state. Additionally, the regularisation of 10,000 contract employees who have completed five years of service by June 2, 2024, was approved. In further developments, the cabinet gave its endorsement to the implementation of the Amma Vodi scheme and the distribution of Vidya Kanuka this year. The cabinet meeting also addressed matters related to land allotment, signing of MoUs at the Global Investor Summit, and other administrative decisions. These included the approval for the allotment of land to
