Hyderabad: The Chief Electoral Officer (CEO) of Telangana, Vikas Raj, provided an update on the ongoing preparations for the upcoming elections. Following the instructions of the Central Election Commission, the CEO emphasized that meticulous arrangements are underway, with the last assembly election serving as a reference point. The final decision on the election date will be determined after careful consideration of various factors. Vikas Raj highlighted the key areas of focus in the preparations, including a special revision of the voter list, the readiness of Electronic Voting Machines (EVMs), and comprehensive training programs for election officers. Ensuring effective communication, the CEO has maintained regular contact with representatives from political parties to address any concerns or issues that arise. He further added that a significant meeting is scheduled for tomorrow, primarily centered around voter registration and addressing other pertinent matters under the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) jurisdiction.
