Minister for IT, Industries, and MAUD, K T Rama Rao, delivered a keynote address at the Administrative Staff College of India (ASCI) on the occasion of World Environment Day, urging the participation of common people in the government's efforts to clean cities and villages. Highlighting Telangana's commitment to environmental protection, Minister KTR referred to the Centre for Science and Environment's recognition of the state's leading role in this regard. He expressed pride in the achievements of the people and Chief Minister KCR over the past decade, emphasizing the significant progress made in various sectors, particularly in the development of Hyderabad. However, he emphasized the need for further efforts to transform the city into a global destination, and assured that the government is actively working towards that goal. Minister KTR instructed officials to designate every Saturday as 'Rethink - Reduce, Reuse and Recycle (RRR) day,' during which discussions on waste management and recycling initiatives would take place at the planning level.
