Odisha: In a recent incident, a goods train carrying limestone derailed near Mendhapali in Bargarh district of Odisha. The derailment occurred on a narrow gauge siding owned by a private cement company. Fortunately, no casualties have been reported. The East Coast Railway clarified that they have no involvement in the matter as all infrastructure and maintenance are handled by the company.
