Maharashtra: In a shocking display of poor infrastructure, a video capturing a group of villagers showcasing a badly constructed road that folds like a carpet has gone viral on social media. The incident has sparked widespread criticism and raised concerns about the quality of development projects. The video, which has been widely shared on various social media platforms, highlights the dire condition of the road located between Karjt and Aste Bokhari village in Maharashtra's Jalna district. The road was reportedly built under the government's flagship program, Pradhan Mantri Gram Sadak Yojna (PMGSY). Expressing their disappointment, the villagers can be seen in the video lifting the road to demonstrate its substandard construction. With the road folding like a carpet, they criticized the contractor responsible for what they described as "bogus" work. "This is all bogus work being carried out in the name of development," one of the villagers can be heard expressing their frustration in the video.
